Safety during yoga classes.

Updated: Mar 28, 2023

Regardless of the practice format (online or offline), classes should be as safe and comfortable for you as possible.

Yoga practice can be really beneficial for our physical and mental health, if the following conditions are met:

  • You are confident in the competence of your instructor.

It is the instructor's responsibility to convey information correctly and adjust the pose properly, adequately assessing the physical condition of the practitioners taking into account any possible contraindications.

Remember yoga practice is available to everyone, regardless of age, gender, and body type. Any pose can be modified for both beginners and experienced practitioners.

  • You should inform the instructor about your health conditions if she/he did not ask you before the class.

An experienced teacher will always offer you modifications of the poses taking into account individual peculiarities.

  • Practicing yoga you will learn how to listen to your body and notice it’s signals.

Never push through the pain, do not force your body. That’s what one of the yoga principles teaches us (ahimsa - harmlessness).

By following these conditions, your practice will bring you happiness, health, and inner peace.
